At present, the high temperature and high salinity reservoirs in the south of Dagang Oilfield are developing in high water cut and low production level, and are facing the difficult problem of enhancing oil recovery. This kind of reservoir has the characteristics of high temperature and high salinity of formation, and the physical properties of crude oil belong to the type of high pour point and high viscosity. The exploitation of reservoir is difficult and the cost is high, so the traditional chemical flooding technology can not meet the demand of eor. As a result, the company launched a major development test on air foam flooding to enhance oil recovery in 2014.

Researchers in the aspects of system development, optimization of process parameters, corrosion protection, and further improve the matching test and so on, at the same time, to optimize the process parameters and the injection process, the use of stand-alone (pump) multi wells, centralized injection station construction to realize modularized skid mounted and standardization, digitization.

The official bet on block 15-2 of the fault area indicates that Dagang Oilfield has opened up a new way to improve oil recovery in high temperature and high salinity reservoirs.
